According to eyewitnesses, the overnight prayers started on Friday evening and continued into Saturday afternoon. Witnesses said that at around 1:00 PM, a strong and unfamiliar wind suddenly struck the temporary church structure, blowing off the roof and collapsing parts of the building.
The church, which was constructed using iron sheets and wooden poles, could not withstand the force of the wind.
Worshippers reportedly fled in panic as the roof was blown into a nearby maize plantation. Despite the frightening incident, no injuries or deaths were reported.
However, several church properties, including microphones, chairs, and tables, were damaged during the incident.
